Season’s Greetings, my friends. It’s the time of year when we count our blessings. And no one is counting their blessings more than the animals at Best Friends!
For those of you who have been following this blog, you know by now that I’m a friend to the furry ones.
As such, I’m posting this entry in hopes that it encourages you to give a little to help make just one animal’s holiday season a little brighter. It’s so easy to do, in fact, we just did!
Today, we sponsored Purdy with a small donation to the Best Friends Animal Shelter in Kanab, Utah. We support our local Lakeland, Florida SPCA as well, but we like to support Best Friends whenever we can.
Purdy received our gift today, but she and her other animal pals are in need of all the help they can get. Here’s her story… just one of many over at Best Friends.
Between last year’s Michael Vick fiasco and stories like Purdy’s… I’m at a loss to define what exactly goes through a person’s mind when they act out towards an animal in such a manner. Truly sad.

What a great cause!
All three of my dogs came from the pound. It is great to get a rescue dog. They are all full breed Heelers and very smart and came half way trained.
