Winter Haven area is a wonderful place to visit and take a vacation. With such attractions as the Legoland Florida theme park (opening October 2011 at the former Cypress Gardens property), Bok Tower, the downtown area, the beautiful Chain of Lakes, Florida Southern College (with its amazing Frank Lloyd Wright buildings) and much more.

We started a Winter Haven Florida area travel / travel / tourist portal — http://www.VisitWinterHaven.com — to promote tourism to the Winter Haven area.

We have read that up to 2 million (yep, 2 million) tourist folks may soon start to visit the great Winter Haven area very soon!

As an avid water ski enthusiast, Winter Haven sounds like just the kind of place I’d want to visit on summer vacation. Actually, make that any time of the year with such perfect weather as you describe.

For most of us, there is something about being close to the water that immediately relaxes even the most stressed folk. That’s why my retirement dream is to live in an environment like Winter Haven, where the only decision I have to make is whether to pick up my water skis, fishing rod or wakeboard before heading out on the water. Florida, here I come!
