The DPA Debate: Whose Side are YOU On?

I wanted to share a couple of stories – one from Nehemiah’s DPAGroundswell website and one, via video, from the Ameridream folks.   Many of us may not have even written loans or managed real estate transactions that involved Downpayment Assistance Programs.   If you’re on the fence about whether these programs need to be saved, please… take a minute to read through and watch these testimonials.

Both Sides of the Story

If you’ve felt like all you’ve only been hearing HUD’s side of the story regarding why DPAs should be discontinued, this video’s one you MUST watch.   Not only is there another side to the tale, but the one you’ve been hearing isn’t even accurate (shocking).

Keep focused on this fact:   Ameridream and Nehemiah have consistently asked HUD to establish strict guidelines as to how DPAs should be run.   HUD, in hopes of establishing its own 100 percent financing program, has consistently refused to comply with such requests.
